ELIZAVETA IVANOVA

Elizaveta Ivanova has been the Deputy Principal Flutist of the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra since 2022, having previously held the same position with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra from 2017 to 2022. Elizaveta was born in Estonia into a musical family and began studying music at an early age. Shereceived her musical education at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory under Professor Olga Chernyadeva and Ksenia Kuelyar. She then continued her studies at the Music Academy in Basel (Switzerland) in the class of Professor Felix Renggli, where she graduated with distinction from the Master Soloist program in 2023. In 2023, Elizaveta won First Prize at the International Competition in Geneva, where she also
received several special awards, including the Arts Society Prize, the Soufflee Prize, and the Rose-Marie Huguenin Prize.
She is also a prizewinner of several flute competitions, such as the Crusell Flute Competition in Finland, the International Flute Competition in Cluj (Romania), and the Maxence Larrieu Flute Competition in France. Starting in September 2024, she was selected as a BBC New GenerationArtist. Elizaveta regularly performs in chamber music ensembles and as a soloist with various orchestras, including the BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, Transylvania Philharmonic Orchestra, the Meiningen Court Orchestra, and the Frankfurt Philharmonic. She also appears at various musicfestivals, such as the Ljubljana Music Festival, the Austrian Flute Festival, the Mozart Bath Festival, and others.
